Interface IFileChannelOutput

Namespace
RDCore.SDK.Runtime.Abstract.Execution
Assembly
RDCore.SDK.dll

The writing side of an IFileChannel — an IRuntimeOutput that also has the maximum line length a Width statement sets (MS-VBAL §5.4.5.7).

public interface IFileChannelOutput : IRuntimeOutput
Inherited Members

Remarks

The only thing a file's output has that the session's own output does not, and the reason it is here rather than on IRuntimeOutput: a line length is a property of a file being written, and the Immediate window has no such limit to set.

Properties

MaxLineLength

The most characters a line of this file may hold, or 0 for no maximum — which is what a channel has until a Width statement says otherwise, and what Width #n, 0 returns it to.

int MaxLineLength { get; set; }

Property Value

int

Remarks

Reaching it while writing "immediately" writes the line termination sequence and continues on the next line (§5.4.5.8), so it wraps output rather than truncating it.
