Enum OptionCompare

Namespace
RDCore.SDK.Model.Symbols
Assembly
RDCore.SDK.dll

The comparison mode of a module: how the relational operators compare String values (MS-VBAL §5.2.1.1, §5.6.9.5).

public enum OptionCompare

Fields

Binary = 0

Option Compare Binary: the strings are compared by the code of each character, so that "a" and "A" differ. This is the comparison mode of a module that declares no Option Compare directive.

Database = 2

Option Compare Database: unspecified by MS-VBAL, known to be supported by Microsoft Access.

👉 What the strings are compared by is a setting of the platform (IRuntimeEnvironmentProfile.DatabaseCompare), which is either Binary or Text; an operation is never evaluated in Database mode.

Text = 1

Option Compare Text: the strings are compared regardless of case, according to the regional settings of the environment.
